Prohibited Items Policy

Items HATTOD will not knowingly accept and items that may require additional approval.

Effective Date: September 9, 2026

For rider safety, customer protection, and legal compliance, HATTOD does not knowingly accept deliveries involving illegal or unreasonably dangerous items. Customers and senders are responsible for truthfully declaring package contents when requested.

1. Strictly prohibited items

  • Illegal drugs and prohibited controlled substances.
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and unlawful weapons.
  • Stolen property, contraband, or goods obtained through fraud or criminal activity.
  • Counterfeit or fraudulent government, financial, or identity documents.
  • Illegal gambling materials where prohibited by law.
  • Hazardous, toxic, corrosive, explosive, radioactive, or similarly dangerous substances not approved for ordinary local delivery.
  • Human remains or body parts.
  • Any item whose possession, sale, transport, or delivery is unlawful.

2. Restricted or approval-required items

HATTOD may refuse or require additional verification, packaging, authorization, or handling arrangements for items such as regulated medicines, alcohol or tobacco products, high-value goods, cash or negotiable instruments, fragile items, live animals, temperature-sensitive products, oversized or heavy items, and other goods that create unusual legal, safety, or operational risk.

3. Medicines

Where medicine delivery is offered, HATTOD only provides pickup and delivery. Customers remain responsible for lawful purchase requirements, prescriptions where applicable, and correct product selection. HATTOD or a rider may decline a medicine request that cannot lawfully or safely be fulfilled.

4. Package inspection and refusal

A rider is not expected to open sealed packages without lawful or operational justification. However, HATTOD or a rider may refuse a package if its contents, odor, leakage, packaging, declaration, weight, or surrounding circumstances reasonably indicate a prohibited, unsafe, or misdeclared item.

5. Customer responsibility

The customer or sender is responsible for accurate declarations and lawful contents. HATTOD may cancel the delivery, preserve relevant records, or cooperate with lawful authorities where a prohibited or suspected illegal item is identified.

6. Safety first

A rider will not be required to transport an item that the rider reasonably believes creates an immediate safety or legal risk. The rider should contact HATTOD support for instructions rather than personally confronting a customer.

Questions or complaints: Use the official HATTOD Contact page or published support channels. Please include your booking number and supporting details when available.
